What as classed as vintage? it is generally thought that anything from the 1920's to the 1960's is vintage. The 20's was the age of elegant dresses and accessories. The era was generally know as the Twenties or the Roaring Twenties and the most recognized symbol is probably the flapper girl who was attention seeking, flamboyant, decadent and glamorous, she had bobbed hair and wore the familiar short skirted dress with ankle strapped shoes and diamante purses. Here at number 39 we endeavour to support our own Designers.  We have therefore obtained handbags from:- Zandra Rhodes - you 1960's girls out there will remember her pop art clothing, she now has put her name to a range of handbags. Larah England - a local Designer (she lives just up the road from our shop) a young lady who has just become a Mum and has launched her first range. Brends Macleod - A lively Scottish girl who designs her fabulous leather bags in Inverness and has them made in Italy.
